Open Healthcare Network
Open Healthcare Network (OHN), is a pioneering open-source initiative aimed at revolutionizing healthcare systems through the power of technology and community-driven development. OHN is the creator of CARE, a flagship EMR and TeleICU platform recognized as the 50th Digital Public Good by the United Nations.
Combining professional engineering excellence with youth-led innovation, OHN is driven by a committed team of developers and an ever-growing network of student volunteers. This unique collaboration has laid the foundation for transformative, inclusive, and scalable digital health solutions.
Born out of necessity during the COVID-19 crisis, OHN has consistently focused on solving real-world healthcare challenges. The CARE software, initially deployed to coordinate pandemic response efforts, has since evolved to power critical initiatives like the 10BedICU Project, bringing TeleICU infrastructure to rural hospitals across India.
Today, the Open Healthcare Network continues to expand its mission beyond emergency response, with new applications in palliative care, hospital management, and AI-assisted tools, serving millions of lives through accessible and transparent digital health infrastructure.
